Thank you so much for all the work you did on the discs, even putting my Grandad’s photo on them.  They arrived on Saturday, and the discs and files you were kind enough to email to me has caused great excitement in the family. 
John (little John) has listened to them and was totally moved which was lovely as he suffers from Dementia.  John and his wife have two boys and one grandchild so they were all really amazed.  
My husband and I have 43 year old twins and a 37 year old who were also astonished to hear their Great Grandfather’s voice but the most exciting thing is that our Granddaughter was hearing her Great Great Grandfather’s voice.  
What a brilliant service you provide. Quite apart from the technology, you bring so much joy to so many generations.

Dear Graham,

Just received the cd of your digitalisation of the demo recording my dad made over 60 years ago on a 78 rpm acetate disc. It must be  over 40 years since anyone has listened to it, but hearing the cd of the copy you made gave me great joy and I now have a copy on my phone. The voice is clear and full and I never would have expected such a brilliant result. Thank you.

Dear Graham,

Thank you so much for the CD – the quality sounds very good to me. My grandma died in the 80s, my mother in 1987 and my father in 2013 after a long battle with dementia, so it’s wonderful to hear them all again. The sound of my father, completely compos mentis, speaking in his best Spanish accent at the beginning was certainly a surprise as I’d never ventured to listen to the tape before because I was afraid to harm it, but it was wonderful to hear my mother’s voice after nearly 30 years. My sister will be over the moon (after the tears, of course) and there are other relatives who’ll be very happy to get a copy.

This tape has been broken for probably 30 years. I have dragged it through my life always meaning to “get it fixed”. It’s my Mum and Dad’s 60th wedding anniversary later this year and their parents are also on it. The tape is actually 42 years old, listening to the recordings.

Many, many thanks for the lovely work you did on the tape. Listening to it transported me back to that day in 1973! It was so clear, I could hear my Father raking the garden outside the window and you could also hear the echo of the boat’s whistles bouncing off the two Ormes just like I remembered! Dear Graham,

I must say that I am really impressed with not only the quality of the audio transfer to CD, but also the presentation of the CD packages & the attention to detail in the contents listing – First Class! It was certainly interesting to hear the messages & the voice of my Great Aunt, who emigrated to New Zealand in 1909 never to return to the UK. The tape dates from 1967 (44 years ago) and after nearly 60 years in NZ she still had a hint of a Wiltshire accent, which reminds me so much of my Grandfather. She died aged 89 in 1976, so hers, like some of the others on the tape are now lost voices. Thank you so much for bringing these back to us.
