THE PROCESS

Transfer minidiscs to CD:

The recordable minidisc digital audio format of the late 1980's never really achieved its full potential. Recordable CD saw to that. However, you may wish to have your MD's converted to CD or .mp3 for convenience as even MD players are becoming less common, and are less frequently included in mini/midi systems.

At Audio Restored we can play all types of Minidisc - either those recorded at standard speed, or extended recordings using MDLP (LP2 or LP4), before commencement of digital restoration and transfer to CD.

As standard service, individual tracks are separated to give full track skip/search functions. CD text is added for convenience, and your disc is returned to you in a CD jewel case. For long-play transfers, extra discs may be necessary, and these will be returned to you in double CD jewel case(s). The transfer cost includes on-CD printing and a bespoke cover (front and back CD inserts) with full track listing. As mentioned, alternative file formats (WMA, .mp3) can also be accommodated if preferred.

Any number of duplicate CDs (of non-copyright transfers) can be provided - see Prices page for details.
